Clinical Mechanism:

The PRF technique (Choukroun et al. 2001) involves centrifugation of whole blood without anticoagulants. This process yields a fibrin clot rich in platelets and leukocytes, acting as a natural reservoir of growth factors (VEGF, PDGF, TGF-β). These are gradually released, accelerating bone and soft tissue healing in surgical sites.

What is PRF?
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an autologous platelet concentrate derived from the patient’s own blood.
