MIR Spirolab 4 is fast and intuitive for modern professionals. Each function can be easily activated by a simple touch on the bar menu.
The MIR Spirolab IV turbine touchscreen spirometer (oximeter optional) with built-in printer is a standalone, wireless (Bluetooth® 2.1) and USB-connected device designed for modern respiratory specialists. The Spirolab 4 Advanced, with easy-to-implement WinspiroPRO® software, gathers data from 48 spirometry parameters and creates personalised, printable or digital results to add to patient files.
MIR technology is created by a Red Dot Award-winning Italian-based design team. MIR is responsible for a range of advanced and internationally recognised spirometry solutions which have been designed and manufactured for use by medical practitioners and researchers for over twenty years.
Zone Medical currently supplies seven spirometry models: the MIR Minispir 2, MIR Spirobank 2 Basic, MIR Spirobank 2 Smart, MIR Spirodoc, MIR Smart One Personal Peak Flow Meter, MIR Spirobank 2 Advanced and the MIR Spirolab 4 Desktop. This specialised portable model boasts user-friendly advanced test interpretation of 48 essential and specialised spirometry parameters.
The MIR Spirolab 4 Desktop spirometer is particularly valuable to pulmonologists, general practitioners treating large numbers of respiratory patients and respiratory therapists. This wireless and connected device allows specialists to gather accurate and specific short- and long-term data. The Spirolab 4 Desktop is a portable spirometer able to store up to 10,000 searchable results at any one time, transmitting this data to the PC via USB or Bluetooth® 2.1. Immediate printouts of results via the built-in silent printer can be added to paper files, while the included WinspiroPRO® software produces digital files for online patient dossiers.
The MIR Spirolab spirometer complies with the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) for two items: #11505 and #11506. These recently created or amended items encourage the use of well-performed spirometry in general practice.
The MIR Spirolab IV Desktop features adult virtual assistant incentives and patented paediatric incentive animations with adjustable difficulty levels. On-screen animations engage the younger patient and encourage correct technique, producing accurate results in a notoriously difficult-to-measure group. Non-paediatric incentives increase compliance and result accuracy. This device’s ability to simultaneously carry out multiple tests reduces patient consultation time and airway test repetition. Patients can take home their results on paper printouts and are thus encouraged and reminded to continue therapy compliance.
The MIR Spirolab 4 Desktop accurately measures the following parameters:
FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, FEV1/VC, PEF, FEF25, FEF50, FEF75, FEF25–75, FEF75–85, Lung Age, Extrapolated Volume, FET, Time to PEF, FEV0.5, FEV0.5/FVC, FEV0.75, FEV0.75/FVC, FEV2, FEV2/FVC, FEV3, FEV3/FVC, FEV6, FEV1/FEV6, FEV1/PEF, FEV1/FEV0.5, FIVC, FIV1, FIV1/FIVC, PIF, FIF25, FIF50, FIF75, FEF50/FIF50, VC, IVC, IC, ERV, IRV, Rf, VE, VT, tI, tE, VT/ tI, tE/tTOT, MVV (measured), MVV (calculated)
Real-time Flow/Volume loops and Volume/Time curves (PC) allow for PRE/POST comparison, particularly of use in bronchodilator therapy evaluations in combination with WinspiroPRO® software. Bronchial Challenge testing is also possible (PC).
Use of this device may allow MBS item claim (#11505 & #11506). Contact Medicare for more information
