Atherton Water Filter | Pearl Disposable ...
Hospital tap water is recognised as the most overlooked, important and controllable source of HAI. The Pearl lets you take control of waterborne infection, reducing risk for patients with compromised immunity (including oncology, organ transplant, surgical, burn, chronic lung disease and HIV patients) as well as the elderly and newborns who are highly susceptible to infection through direct contact, ingestion and inhalation.
Pearl disposable water filter is composed of a 0.2μm double layer PES pleated membranes with an asymmetric pre-filtration layer for longer service life and lower filtration cost. The filters have been validated on Brevundimonas Diminuta according to ASTM F838 (bacteria challenge test) with a bacteria retention>10 /cm· (sterilizing grade).
Filter replacement from particulate blockage or after 10 sterilizing cycles at 121°C for 20mins.
Length of time between sterilizable cycles is usually dictated by the usage; some facilities sterilize daily and some weekly; it is often directed by the application and potential risk.
